JJ-CCR Training & Sales
A Robust Platform for Technical Exploration
The JJ-CCR is a back-mounted electronic closed-circuit rebreather developed around robust construction, straightforward operation and a high level of redundancy. Blue Water Ascent is an Authorised Dealer providing unit-specific TDI training in Melbourne and supplying JJ-CCR units, parts and spares. Whether you are choosing your first CCR, completing a unit crossover or progressing into decompression training, we connect equipment selection with disciplined procedures and deliberate in-water coaching.
- Air Diluent CCR — no-decompression training to 30 metres
- Air Diluent Decompression Procedures — planned decompression to 40 metres
- Helitrox Diluent Decompression Procedures — helium diluent training to 45 metres

Who JJ-CCR Training and Equipment Are For
The JJ-CCR pathway suits divers selecting their first CCR, qualified JJ-CCR divers progressing into planned decompression or helitrox diluent diving, and experienced CCR divers completing a unit crossover. It also supports divers seeking a robust platform for longer-term technical, wreck or overhead-environment objectives. The right starting point depends on your qualifications, recent experience and intended diving.
Prerequisites and Readiness
How the Training Works
Training combines academic development, equipment maintenance and configuration, confined-water practice and progressive open-water dives. Under the supplied TDI standards, the full Air Diluent, Air Diluent Decompression Procedures and Helitrox pathways each require at least 60 minutes of confined-water work, 420 minutes in open water over a minimum of seven dives, and a minimum five-day course. Crossovers and upgrades have level-specific requirements. Your programme is confirmed against current TDI and JJ-CCR requirements and progresses only when control, awareness and judgement are repeatable.

JJ-CCR Equipment, Training and Ongoing Development
As an Authorised Dealer, Blue Water Ascent can assist with the purchase of a JJ-CCR and connect equipment selection with unit-specific training. The JJ-CCR uses a robust aluminium housing, back-mounted counterlungs, an independent head-up display, a Shearwater-based controller and separate key power supplies. Selected equipment, parts and spares are stocked locally, while other products are supplied to order. We begin with your intended diving, current qualifications and longer-term objectives, then discuss an appropriate unit configuration and realistic training pathway. Availability, configuration and lead times are confirmed individually.
A Competence-Led Approach
- Understanding before memorisation
- Skill mastery rather than minimum performance
- Coaching shaped around the individual diver
Tell us whether you are interested in initial JJ-CCR training, a decompression or Helitrox pathway, a unit crossover, purchasing a JJ-CCR or combining equipment and training. Include your current certifications, recent diving and intended use, and we will help you identify an appropriate next step.
