Halcyon Symbios CCR Training & Sales

Explore a Compact, Connected CCR Platform

The Halcyon Symbios CM is a compact, chest-mounted electronic CCR built around a modular design, integrated electronics and wireless connectivity. Blue Water Ascent is an Authorised Dealer providing unit-specific TDI training in Melbourne and supplying Symbios CCR units, SYMBIOS HANDSET dive computers, SYMBIOS TANK POD transmitters, parts and spares. Whether you are choosing your first unit, crossing over or progressing into decompression training, we connect equipment selection with disciplined preparation, monitoring and in-water coaching.

Who Symbios Training and Equipment Are For

The Symbios pathway suits divers selecting their first CCR, qualified Symbios divers progressing into planned decompression or helitrox diluent diving, and experienced CCR divers completing a unit crossover. It also supports divers seeking a capable standalone computer and wireless gas-monitoring system for open-circuit, sidemount or technical diving. The right starting point depends on your qualifications, recent experience and intended diving.

Prerequisites and Readiness

The minimum age is 18. Entry-level Air Diluent candidates must hold Nitrox certification or equivalent and provide evidence of at least 20 logged open-water dives. Decompression-level pathways require the qualifying technical or CCR certifications and experience specified by current TDI standards. All prerequisites and recent experience are verified before enrolment.

How the Training Works

Training combines academic development, equipment maintenance and configuration, confined-water practice and progressive open-water dives. Under the supplied TDI standards, the full Air Diluent, Air Diluent Decompression Procedures and Helitrox pathways each require at least 60 minutes of confined-water work, 420 minutes in open water over a minimum of seven dives, and a minimum five-day course. Crossovers and upgrades have level-specific requirements. Your programme is confirmed against current TDI and Halcyon standards and progresses only when control, awareness and judgement are repeatable.

Skills Developed on the Symbios

You will develop unit assembly and care, pre-dive checks, oxygen-sensor calibration and monitoring, breathing-loop and volume control, buoyancy and trim, setpoint awareness, team communication, bailout planning and disciplined responses to foreseeable failures. Training also reinforces post-dive procedures and the limits of diver-performed maintenance.

Certification and Diving Limits

Air Diluent certification permits no-decompression Symbios diving to a maximum of 30 metres. Air Diluent Decompression Procedures extends unit-specific training to planned decompression diving to 40 metres. Helitrox Diluent Decompression Procedures introduces a helium-containing diluent and formal decompression to 45 metres within current TDI gas limits. Training dives may be shallower or more conservative according to conditions and demonstrated readiness.

Unit Crossovers

Symbios crossovers are available for appropriately certified CCR divers with suitable recent experience. The programme concentrates on the Symbios configuration, electronics, preparation, monitoring, loop characteristics, emergency procedures and bailout strategy. The exact academic and in-water requirements are confirmed against the diver’s certification level, logged experience and current TDI and Halcyon requirements.

Symbios Equipment, Training and Ongoing Development

As an Authorised Dealer, Blue Water Ascent can assist with the purchase of a Halcyon Symbios CCR, a standalone SYMBIOS HANDSET dive computer, compatible SYMBIOS TANK POD transmitters, parts and spares. The HANDSET supports air, nitrox, trimix and CCR modes and can receive data from multiple Symbios sources. The TANK POD provides digital cylinder-pressure information and real-time trim feedback through its three-axis position sensor. Selected equipment, parts and spares are stocked locally, while other products are supplied to order. Availability, configuration and lead times are confirmed individually.

A Competence-Led Approach

Tell us whether you are interested in Symbios training, a CCR unit, a HANDSET dive computer, TANK POD transmitters or a combined equipment-and-training pathway. Include your current certifications, recent diving and intended use, and we will help you identify a suitable configuration and progression plan.
